Do you know what it means…?

I'm stuck at work and keeping track with increasing horror and worry of the reports on Hurricane Katrina. Good friends, including the two most beautiful men in Louisiana, are in my thoughts.

And to all you circuit kids out there, hang on to whatever you were gonna spend on Decadence this year and give it to the Red Cross instead. NOLA's gonna need it.

I'm happy for the hurricane. Maybe it will teach the southern racists God doesn't like them. Only joking of course.

Not to sound jaded and all, but...do you suppose the residents of Louisiana will receive even a fraction of the global support the Sri Lankans got after the big tsunami?

I don't know, but when I went shopping in the Galleria (in Houston) yesterday it was *packed with people from Louisiana. And my brother-in-law who is in town from Iraq called and said there were no hotel rooms left in Houston! Those poor people, completely displaced for an unknown period of time. BTW, like the purple, I've been reading via feeds and haven't seen it in a while.
