Break Bread With Brad Chicago

It's been a while since I did a formally informal Chicago-area get-together, which is odd considering how often I'm in the city. Anyway, my first trip of 2005 is coming up and I'm tentatively planning a casual cocktail gathering at a favored gay watering hole, followed by a diner dinner on Friday, January 14. Drop me a note if you'd like an invite when it comes together.
Comments:
Hello??
why don't you move to Chicago and finally get out of ghetto, polluted, racially divided st. louis??
Er...because it's my home? Because so many of the people I hold dear are here? Because, flawed though it may be, it's a wonderful city whose best days are yet to come?
Because if I leave—if all of the people who earnestly try to address the problems to which you crassly refer leave—how are things ever to get any better?
If all you can do is complain about how terrible things are and how near the sky is to falling, perhaps it's you who should consider a change of venue.
Anyway, I'm not going anywhere. And I don't care to debate you further on my website on a post having nothing to do with St. Louis or its shortcomings.
