A TALE OF TWO SECTIONS: Why Arts Coverage Should Be More Like Sports. This article at Poynter.org and the related discussion in the forum provide interesting takes from journalists and media professionals on a topic near to my heart and job description. I am fond of pointing out to reporters that my theatre has more season ticket holders than the local baseball or football concerns, and that the arts generally have a significant social and economic impact on our region. This is not to imply that theatre is more important than sports, but merely that it deserves commensurate coverage.ELEMENTARY: An actual periodic table. [via Boing Boing]
FRAM: "In a recent survey, 80 per cent of women said they felt their ass was too fat, 15 per cent said their ass was too small, and 5 per cent said it didn't matter, they would have married him anyway."
