I have to say this comes as something of a surprise…

You scored as Capt. Lee Adama (Apollo). You have spent your life trying to live up to and impress your Dad, shame he never seemed to notice. You are a stickler for the rules. But in matters of loyalty and honour you know when they have to be broken.
What New Battlestar Galactica character are you?

I would have settled for being Boomer, if only to get rack time with both Helo and the Chief. Ah well, if I must be Commander Hottie, I suppose I must.

Online tag sale…
Shameless commerce: I am helping my funny friend Jill (aka The Lipschtick Lesbian) liquidate some of her videotapes and DVDs, along with a couple of my own, on eBay. If you bid, bid as though you were helping to pay for my godsons' college education, because you will be.** Not entirely true. I will probably spend my portion of the proceeds on beer and Jill has been coveting a Prada belt. But we might buy the twins a cute jumper set or something.

It's not Web 2.0. It hasn't been acquired by Yahoo! or Google. It certainly won't help you Get Things Done. But it's a SXSW Eve tradition and it's back for 2006. Here's the scoop!

Cincinnati
A little help? Say you were going to find yourself in Cincinnati, Ohio, on a Friday night in February. Say you were a homosexual gentleman who appreciates an environment where one can lift a glass or two while enjoying good music, convivial conversation and some attractive "scenery". Where might you go to find such things?Tuesday, February 21, 2006

Delightful and delovely…
About six years after everyone else figured out how to do it, I've begun using the web bookmark manager del.icio.us to publish links to the good ol' "Clearing the Cache" category here on the weblog. The service writes out my links once a day and automagically publishes them here.I'm still working out a couple of kinks and I really wish I could change the title of the generated entry, but del.icio.us is a free service and beggars can't be choosers.
The daily links (at least on days when there are links) will be published in the main weblog syndication feed, but if you'd like to get a feed of the links only, stick this in yer reader.

Things I Am Loving: Mac Edition
A few utilities new and old I- SafariStand adds all sorts of nifty useful features to Safari.
- PDFlab joins or separates PDF files without the need to open Acrobat.
- Renamer4Mac makes it easy to batch rename files. Just drag and drop.
- BetterHTMLexport makes automagically generating web galleries from iPhoto a snap, and provides significantly better control than iPhoto's built-in. (Compatible with iPhoto6.)
- Jumpcut, a simple, elegant clipboard extender built by my pal Steve.
These things make it easier to do my job every day, and carry the BradLands Seal of Approval.
